The inauguration of the 9th session of the NASS Assembly started with some drama earlier today.

Naija News gathered that some lawmakers were seen rejecting the adoption of the secret ballot method of voting to elect principal officers.

The set Lawmakers argued Abuja High Court sitting at Bwari reportedly issued an interim order for the use of open ballot system in the election of presiding officers of the incoming Senate.

While some pushed for a secret ballot, others wanted open ballot.

“I did not receive any court order directing the use of 2011 Standing Order for the election of presiding officers of the Senate”, says N/Assembly Clerk, Mohammed Sani Omolori answered in response.
