1. Obasanjo insists he has a candidate for 2019 presidency

Former President Olusegun Obasanjo, has clarified his stand between the choice of President Muhammadu Buhari and his former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar, insisting that he is not neutral in the battle of who becomes Nigeria’s president in 2019.

The former president made this known while reaction to report in the media that he was now neutral in the choice of a suitable candidate to lead the country.

2. Nnamdi Kanu says President Buhari is not cloned but has a body double

Leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu has once again, stated that the real President Buhari of Nigeria is dead.

He went on to say that the current person posing as the President of Nigeria is a body double brought in by cabals within the Buhari administration.

3. EFCC invites Doyin Okupe over cyber crime

Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) which earlier stormed the residence of Doyin Okupe has finally invited him to turn himself in.

Mr Okupe had raised the alarm that the anti-graft agency without warrant ordered him to follow them.

4. PDP accuses APC, Buhari of shadow boxing over freezing of Peter Obi’s account

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Presidential Campaign Organization (PPCO) has reacted following Muhammadu Buhari‘s Administration‘s freezing of accounts belonging to PDP Vice presidential candidate, Mr. Peter Obi, wife, his family members and their businesses.

In a statement signed by Kola Ologbondiyan, Director of Media and Publicity, PDP Presidential Campaign Council today, the PDP said Obi had been receiving threats since he was named Vice presidential candidate of the party.

5. Why President Buhari rejected electoral amendment bill

According to Senator Ovie Omo-Agege (Delta Central), ECOWAS Protocol on Democracy and Good Governance forbids President Muhammadu Buhari from signing the Electoral Bill.

The All Progressives Congress (APC) lawmaker gave this insight in a phone interview with newsmen in Abuja on Friday night.

6. APC rep member says Buhari lied on the defeat of Boko Haram

The chairman of the House of Representatives Committee on Humanitarian Affairs, Sani Mohammed, has said that the claim by the President Muhammadu Buhari administration that Boko Haram has been defeated in the North East was a “lie. ”

The APC rep member insisted that claims by the Buhari government that normalcy has been restored to the North East was a “lie”.

7. President Buhari sets up committee on autonomy of state legislature and judiciary

President Muhammadu Buhari has set up a Presidential Implementation Committee on Autonomy of State Legislature and State Judiciary in accordance with the 4th Alteration to the 1999 Constitution.

The committee was created to ensure the actualization of the autonomy granted to the legislature and judiciary at the State level.

8. Vice President Osinbajo departs Nigeria for Germany

Prof. Yemi Osinbajo on Sunday left for Germany to address a group of notable German business leaders in Berlin on Monday, December 10.

Osinbajo would be speaking on the potential of the Nigerian market and the gains recorded by the country through its Ease of Doing Business reforms.

9. Arewa youths rejects Nnamdi Kanu’s statement on Buhari

The Arewa Youth Consultative Forum, ACF, on Sunday rubbished the insinuation by the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu that President Muhammadu Buhari was dead and replaced with one Jubril from Sudan.

The National President of AYCF, Yerima Shettima described the IPOB leader as a drug addict who should not be taken seriously.

10. Senator Adeola warn lawmakers against vetoing electoral amendment bill

Senator Solomon Adeola (APC, Lagos West), chairman of Senate Committee on Local Content has kicked against those urging the National Assembly to override the President’s veto on the Electoral (Amendment)Bill 2018 saying those making the calls does not have the national interest of Nigeria and the safety and sanctity of the 2019 election at heart.

He said this while reacting to the call from some opposition elements for the National Assembly to override the President’s veto on the electoral bill.
