Shi’ites: Police reject Amnesty International’s report

The Nigeria Police Force has rejected the alleged Amnesty International Nigeria report on the use of force against members of the Islamic Movement of Nigeria (IMN) also known as shi’ites.

The News Agency of Nigeria ( NAN ) reports that the organisation had alleged in its report on Wednesday that the police and military used deadly force against IMN members.

Gov. Rochas Okorocha of Imo has dismissed rumours that he is mulling defecting from the All Progressives Congress(APC) over the fallout of the party’s governorship primaries in the state.

Okorocha spoke with State House correspondents after a closed door meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari on Thursday at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

Lawmaker And Supporters Burns Brooms To Signify The End Of APC In Oyo

Hon. Temitope Olatoye, member of the House of Representatives representing Lagelu/Akinyele of Oyo State, has declared the death of the ruling APC, by the symbolic burning of the emblem of the party, the broom.

5,000 APC Members Join PDP In Delta

Senator Dr Ifeanyi Okowa, the governor of Delta State has welcomed 5000 formers members of the All Progressive Congress (APC) and other parties led by Chief Andrew Orugbo, into the fold of the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) in the State.

The governor who said that the doors of the PDP were open to the few remaining members of the opposition political parties, added that the PDP now has what it takes to win the 25 Local Government in the state.
