Dr. Femi Hamzat, the governorship aspirant under the All Progressives Congress in Lagos, has withdraw from the race.
Hamzat, while speaking during a press conference in Lagos on Saturday, state that he took the decision to support the ambition of another aspirant in the party, Babajide Sanwo-Olu.
Recall that Naija News reported that Sanwo-Olu announced that he will be running for governorship under the party after reports started making rounds that the National leader of the party, Bola Tinubu, had anointed the candidacy of Sanwo-Olu.
However, during the course of the week the present Governor of Lagos State, revealed that he is ready to battle out for the candidacy of the party ahead of the 2019 general election.
Hamzat called on his supporters to cast their votes for Sanwo-Olu during the party’s primary on Sunday.
According to him, at the event which had the presence of Sanwo-Olu, Hamzat claimed that he can vouch for Sanwo-Olu’s integrity and personal intelligence.
