Breaking News: Nigerian Army Engaging Boko Haram Terrorist In A Gun Battle
Troops of 145 Battalion in Damasak, Borno State are currently engaging Boko Haram Terrorists who came to attack their location at about 6 p.m. this evening Naija News understands.
A military source confirmed that the insurgents stormed the town with anti-air craft guns, bombs and other weapons.
According to Director of Army Public Relations, Brig Gen Texas Chukwu, a fierce battle is ongoing and the troops are dealing with the terrorists.
Commenting on this Ahmad Salkida, a journalist known to have access to the leadership of the sect, said Boko Haram had been overrunning military formations and piling up arms for something “big”.
The insurgents no longer have the resources to capture and hold new territories. They are more secure in the limited areas they held and maintained from start. They are using the raining season to build up arms before the dry season, when air and ground troops are hard-hitting.

He warned that the Nigerian government would only ignore the activities of the insurgents at its own peril.
The pattern of attacks is predictable, one can almost tell, where may be next, especially if you are following this conflict as closely as some of us do. What is the short and long term strategy of #ISWAP and the #Shekau group? We MUST get answers in order to save our own lives.

The Nigerian government keeps insisting that it has defeated the terrorist but the ugly snake keeps rearing its head.
