The Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed has said that embattled Senate President, Dr Bukola Saraki has no moral right to remain as the senate President.

Saraki has been in the face of the storm after he dumped the ruling party, the All Progressives Party, (APC) for the Peoples Democratic Party.

Mr Mohammed during an live interview monitored by Naija News stated that Saraki was not part of the original alliance that birthed APC.

He urged Saraki to resign his position as the Senate president on moral grounds pointing out that constitutionally the National Assembly could still impeach Saraki if they have the support of a two-third of senators on the day of an impeachment proceeding.

He also stated that they were going to Kwara state from the grip of Senator Saraki take “From my consultations with key stakeholders so far, I can say, categorically, that Kwarans have all resolved to take their destiny into their own hands and take back what rightly belongs to them.”
