Fayemi Visits Recovering Bamidele In London

Dr. Kayode Fayemi, the governor-elect in Ekiti State, has visited Mr. Opeyemi Bamidele, the Director General of his Campaign Council in London, United Kingdom, to see the state of his health.

Naija News recalls that a trigger-happy policeman had shot Bamidele at the premises of the All Progress Congress (APC) during a welcome rally organised for Fayemi after stepping down from the Federal Executive Council (FEC) as Minister of Mines and Steel Development.

Bamidele was later flown abroad for further treatment after he was rushed to the State University Teaching Hospital where he was operated upon and stabilised.

Bamidele is now an outpatient in London since he has been discharge from the hospital.

Ahmed Salami, the media aide of the governor-elect in a statement, disclosed Fayemi who left Ado-Ekiti for Lagos immediately after inaugurating his Transition Committee arrived London earlier in the day to pay Bamidele a morale-boosting visit.

The Statement also revealed that Fayemi had a nice time with the family member of Mr. Bamidele, including his wife Yemisi Bamidele and other relatives of the former member of the Federal House of Representatives.

The reunion sparked up celebration of victory and praise and worship sessions from the two eminent Ekiti leaders.
