Saraki Gives Ultimatum For 2018 Budget Submission

Senate President, Bukola Saraki, has given the Appropriation Committee a deadline of Friday, April 13 to tidy up reports on the 2018 Budget, so it can be submitted to the Senate next week.

This he said before suspending the plenary in honour of the senator, who died during the Easter break, late Sen. Mustapha Bukar who died on April 7.

Nigerian Abroad Protest President Buhari Re-election Bid

Some Nigerians based in the UK have protested against President Muhammadu Buhari in London Yesterday.

The protesters which started their tantrums 24hours after President Buhari declared his re-election bid, took to the Abuja House official residence of the Nigerian president in London.

“Obasanjo Is Not God”- Shittu Lauds Buhari’s Re-election Bid

Minister of Communications, Adebayo Shittu has declared former President Olusegun Obasanjo remarks about President Muhammadu Buhari invalid saying that he cannot stop President Buhari from winning the 2019 election.

While speaking with newsmen in Abuja, Shittu said the move by President Buhari is a welcomed development.

Shehu of Bama Kingdom in Borno State, Shehu Kyari Ibn Umar El-Kanemi has blamed the Federal Government for allowing Boko Haram ample space to operate and unleash terror on Nigerians.

El-Kanemi said the growth of the insurgents was a failure of the state.

Court Dismisses IGP’s Suit Against Senate

Justice Abba-Bello Muhammad of the FCT High Court, Abuja yesterday dismissed a suit filed against the Senate by the inspector General of Police,Ibrahim Idris, for allegedly violating his rights.

The Judge noted that Nigeria’s constitution, section 88 and 89 allows the Senate to probe matters of public interest.
