Just In: Sierra Leone Electoral Body Moves Presidential Run-Off To March 31

Sierra Leone’s election commission on Monday announced a presidential run-off planned for Tuesday will now be held on Saturday due to preparation time lost to a court order halting its activities, Punch reports

The National Electoral Commission (NEC) said the date had moved “due to logistical delays resulting from the injunction”, referring to a temporary stay on the vote issued by the High Court lifted on Monday.

Naija News, not too long reported that the Chairman of the Independent Electoral Commission, Prof. Mahmood Yakubu, commended Sierra Leone’s Electoral Body for the Peaceful election. (Nigeria News)
