12 Die In Suicide Bomb Attack In Maiduguri

No less than 12 people have been feared dead following an attack by two suicide bombers on a market Confirming the in Muna Garage in Maiduguri, the Borno State capital.

Confirming the incident which occurred on Thursday, the Civilian Joint Task Force operating in the area told Channels Television, said 48 persons were injured during the attack.

The Borno Commissioner of Police, Mr Damian Chukwu, present at the scene of the attak also affirmed that 12 persons had died, including the two male bombers who perpetrated the explosion.

The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) and that of the Red Cross Society officials were at the scene of the crime to offer medical assistance to the victims.

The information officer of NEMA North East Zone, Mr Abdulkadir Ibrahim, stated that the injured victims were given first aid treatment and transported to the hospitals.
