Chibok Girls: Parents write Buhari, demand whereabouts of their daughters

Parents of the Chibok schoolgirls still held captive by Boko Haram insurgents have written President Muhammadu Buhari over his “silence” on the fate of their missing daughters.

In a letter addressed to the President, that they have lost hope and are traumatized as it seems the rescue of 82 of the Chibok girls is seemingly a form of closure of the case, as no one is paying attention to the grieving parents.

2019 Election: See why Fayose would not get PDP’s presidential ticket

Former Minister of Education and national chairmanship aspirant of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Prof Tunde Adeniran has advised Governor Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti State to shelf his presidential bid.

He cautioned Fayose to adhere to the zoning arrangement of the party, which zoned the Presidency to the North.

Militants vow to destroy oil facilities in the Niger Delta

A Niger Delta militant group, identified as the Supreme Egbesu Tigers of Africa, on Wednesday, accused the Shell Petroleum Development Company, SPDC of neglect and threatened to destroy their oil installations in Ekeremor Local Government Area of Bayelsa State.

The group mandated the company to involve the Amabuluo Federated Communities in its operational activities in the area, if it wants to avert the attack on its facilities.

WAEC to hold 3 exam diets as from 2018

The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has introduced a new private diet of its examination to curtail private candidates from registering for WASSCE meant for school candidates.

The council reveals the large number of external candidates that register for its examination, has also increased the number of cheats being caught during the conduct of its exams.

Breaking: Three people killed as train derails in Lagos

At least three persons were killed at Abbatoir area of Agege,  Lagos when a train derailed this morning.

Lagos State police spokesman, Olarinde Famous-Cole who confirmed the incident noted that the train rammed into a trailer, injuring many and leaving three of the victims feared dead.

“We just got the information. Our policemen and those attached to the railway command are in control of the situation, I cannot confirm any death, but i can tell you that some persons were injured.” Famous- Cole said.
