-NFF set to appoint Randy Waldrum as Super Falcon’s technical adviser.

The executive committee of the Nigeria Football Federation, (NFF), at its meeting on Wednesday approved the recommendation of the its technical committee for the appointment of Randy Waldrum as the technical adviser of the nations’s senior national team.

The committee also gave approval for the secretariat to conclude negotiations with the former Trinidad and Tobago women national team coach, Randy Waldrum after a successful interview in August.

“The Board approved the recommendation of the Technical and Development Committee for the appointment of Mr. Randy Waldrum as Technical Adviser of the Super Falcons, and directed the Secretariat to immediately conclude negotiations with Mr. Waldrum,” a statement by NFF statement said.

Waldrum was in charge of the Trinidad and Tobago women’s team for two years before he was fired. He also had a stint with US National Women’s Soccer League side Houston Dash before he was shown the exit door following a string of poor results.

Meanwhile, the NFF has revealed only the senior national teams, the Super Eagles and the Super Falcons will henceforth be entitled to bonus payments per match.

“The committee reiterated that henceforth, only the Super Eagles and the Super Falcons will be entitled to bonus payments per match,” the NFF stated in a communique concerning bonuses.

“Players, coaches and backroom staff of other teams will earn daily allowances, approved bonuses at the end of successful qualifying campaigns and approved allowances (including daily allowances) at championships.”
