LASU warns candidates against admission fraudsters

The management of the Lagos State University (LASU) on Tuesday, disclosed admission seekers who didn’t meet  the cut for the list of 3,500 candidates already shortlisted for admission in the 2017/2018 academic session should beware of falling prey of admission fraudsters.

The institution further revealed the admission process for the 2017/2018 session is closed.

The information was disclosed in Lagos by the institution’s head of  Centre for Information, Press and Public Relations, Mr. Adekoya Martins.

“The management hereby informs all candidates who chose LASU and were not shortlisted for admission that the admission process for the 2017/2018 academic session is closed,’’ he said .

According to him, candidates, parents, guardians and the general public should be wary of `unscrupulous elements’ who may want to use the name of the institution to exploit unsuspecting candidates.

“For emphasis, anybody who engages in transaction with any individual or group of individuals on behalf of the university does so at his or her own risk as LASU will not be liable for such transactions.”

Recall the University authorities had earlier disclosed it will not be admitting more than 3,500 candidates across all departments for its 2017/2018 academic session out of the 36,500 that applied for admission into the University.
