Evans Dissociates Himself From Law Suit Against The Police
Billionaire kidnapper Chukwudumeje Onwuamadike, popularly known as Evans, says he has no hand in suits filed against the police to secure his release.
Evans disclosed the information in an interview with Channels TV on Sunday, saying he had no prior discussion with any lawyer or any person to file the suit on his behalf. He had however filed a fundamental rights enforcement suit at the federal high court in Lagos on June 28, requesting that the court to have him released from police custody.
Recall that Naija News had earlier reported the case file with reference number FHC/L/CS/1012/2017, where he requested the Nigerian police to either charge him to court or he be immediately released from police custody totally.
Evans had also filed another suit against the Inspector General of Police and three other parties, claiming general and exemplary damages worth N300 million for “illegal detention and unconstitutional media trial”.
