10 Women Struck By Lightening In Kenya
Lightening Injures Women In Kenya
No fewer than 10 women have been struck by lightening, yesterday, in Mbombo village in the laikipia west of Kenya, while they were having a meeting.
According to the Ol Moran Deputy County Commissioner, Dan Mwangi, the women didn’t die but sustained body injuries.
The Commissioner said that they were attending a meeting when it started raining. “Suddenly, lightning struck and the tree that they were covering themselves from fell on them. Ten of them sustained injuries,” he noted.
He said they were rushed to Ol Moran health center by good samaritans. “Eight of them were discharged after they sustained minor injuries.
However, two of them who had serious injuries were taken to Nyahururu county referral hospital and have since been admitted,” he said.
The official said that they sustained broken ribs.
Naija News recently reported a burst dam in the East African country also resulted in the death and injuries of several people.
