Be The Bigger Person, Accept Anambra Election Result - Metuh Tells Uba

A Federal High Court in Abuja has today,Thursday, dismissed an application filed by a former National Publicity Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Mr Olisa Metuh, seeking an adjournment of his case on the grounds of ill health.

The presiding judge, Justice Okon Abang, however, said the medical report was illicitly smuggled into the court.

The judge added that Metuh did not give any tenable explanations as to the nature of his illness, stating that the application was useless and only fit for the dustbin.

Justice Abang thus pronounced that having abused his right, the court will not accept any medical report from any doctor in Nigeria on behalf of Metuh.

Ruling on the application for his bail to be revoked, Justice Abang declared that he would be compassionate and suspend his decisions to revoke Metuh’s bail, adding that he hoped he turns a new leaf and attends his trial.

The judge added that if Metuh continues the behaviour, the court would be forced to revoke the bail granted to Mr Metuh.

The trial has been adjourned to February 5 and 6 2018 and the judge noted that every witness lined up by the defence must be in court on the said dates.
