A mobile court sitting in Oshodi, Lagos State, has set free Agba Jalingo and eighteen others that were arrested during the RevolutionNow protest on Wednesday.

Recall that some security operation in Lagos arrested and detained the protesters for allegedly protesting against corruption, insecurity and many other compelling issues in the country.

The convener of the RevolutionNow movement, Omoyele Sowore, on Tuesday announced the Nigerians would match against corruption, killing and increase in the poverty rate in the country.

The peaceful protest was, however, hindered by security operatives who in turn arrested the protesters.

The action of the security operatives were condemned by some prominent individuals in the country.

Human rights activist, Aisha Yesufu, in her reaction also described the action of the security operatives as shameful.

“Very shameless security agents. Where is Shekau? He has dared them again and again and yet no arrest. It is innocent citizens they harass. If one million citizens were on the streets how many will they arrest?”
