Why Bello Doesn’t Deserve Any Award - Akpoti

Political parties, governorship candidates and their supporters in Kogi States have been urged by the Executive Director, Conscience for Human Rights and Conflicts Resolution, Mr Idris Abdul, to avoid violence during the November 16 governorship election and the Kogi West senatorial election.

The major governorship candidates in Kogi State are the gubernatorial candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Yahaya Bello, Musa Wada of the Peoples Democratic Party and Mrs Natasha Akpoti of the Social Democratic Party.

The major candidates in the Kogi West senatorial election are Senator Dino Melaye (PDP) and Senator Smart Adeyemi (APC).

Abdul in a statement charged the Independent National Electoral Commission to conduct a free, fair and credible election in the polls.

Recall that Naija News had earlier reported that the governor of Kaduna State, Nasir el-Rufai pleaded with the people of Kogi State to forgive the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Yahaya Bello, who is seeking the second term.

He was spotted in a video kneeling for Kogi people to forgive their Governor claiming that he is young and will make mistakes.
