Mad Man Arrested For Allegedly Killing A Two-Year-Old Boy

Abdulkarim Mato, a 27-year-old man, Tsakuwawa village, Miga local government area, Jigawa state has been arrested for allegedly killing a 2-year-old boy with a hoe.

SP Abdu Jinjiri, The Command’s spokesperson reported that the police in Miga local government had been informed from the village head of Tsakuwawa village on 24th July 2019, that the suspect killed one boy and injured three others.

Jinjiri explained that the suspect is mentally ill, took advantage and sneaked into the village when most of the men were at farms and attacked.

He also stated that the supposed madman beat Idris Ibrahim, a two-year-old with a hoe to death as well as injuring three other women, namely Halima Mato 50 years, Rashina Rabiu 23 years old and a four-year-old girl.

The command spokesman said the suspect has been moved to a psychiatric hospital, Kazaure, for further examination.

He also said that all the three victims are in General Hospital, Jahun for medical attention and are fortunately responding to treatment.

The police spokesperson made a disclosure that the investigation will continue depending on medical reports obtained from a psychiatric doctor for further action.
