Umahi: ‘Miracle Centre Presidential Candidate Questioning Successful Governor’ – Bwala Knocks Peter Obi
The Special Adviser to President Bola Tinubu on Policy and Communication, Daniel Bwala, has slammed the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) 2027 presidential candidate, Peter Obi, over his comment on the Minister of Works, Dave Umahi.
Naija News recalls that Umahi had accused Peter Obi of always attacking his integrity and personality.
Speaking at the launch of construction of the Akwanga-Jos superhighway, Umahi said that Peter Obi is ignorant of governance.
He accused the former Anambra State Governor of making a mockery of governance by snapping the bad portion of the road and posting it on social media to score cheap political points.
The Minister thereafter challenged Obi to a debate.
In response, Peter Obi declared that there is no basis for debate with Umahi.
Speaking during an interview with Jude Chidenowo, Peter Obi said he started the debate by complaining about damaged Nigerian roads, and Umahi responded by starting repairs on the specific road he had complained about.
The former Governor of Anambra State, however, added that if the Minister wants another debate, inviting him as a presidential candidate, he must first become a presidential candidate too.
Reacting to the remark, Bwala, in a post via his 𝕏 handle, suggested that Peter Obi is not qualified to be a presidential candidate, stressing that he had never participated in any presidential primaries.
While describing Peter Obi as a ‘miracle centre presidential candidate’, Bwala questioned why he would question Umahi, a successful governor and performing minister, on qualifications.
He said, “Peter Obi is telling Chude on his podcast that if H.E Dav Umah wants to debate him, he should first qualify as a presidential candidate first. Funny; the Peter Obi@PeterObi how did he qualify to be a presidential candidate? Did he (Peter Obi) participate in any presidential primaries? In fact has he ever participated in any presidential primaries? Imagine a miracle centre presidential candidate questioning a successful governor and performing minister on qualifications.”
