2027: Peter Obi Will Lose Many Of The Places He Won In 2023 – Naja’atu Muhammad

Deputy National Chairman (North-West) of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) Hajiya Naja’atu Muhammad, has predicted that former Vice President Atiku Abubakar will have an advantage over President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 presidential election.

Naja’atu made the prediction during an interview with DCL English, where she shared her views on the possible outcome of the next election and the chances of major opposition figures.

Naija News reports that she said Peter Obi, the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) presidential candidate may struggle to repeat his previous performance across some states where he recorded strong support in the last election.

According to her, Obi’s chances in Lagos State could be affected, adding that he may not secure the level of backing he received there in 2023.

She also said the former Anambra governor could face difficulties in the South-South region because of the influence of former Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike.

Naja’atu further stated that Obi may not get as many votes as expected in the South-East due to the presence of governors elected under the All Progressives Congress (APC).

She added that his support in the northern part of the country may also reduce during the next election.

She argued that the political situation in different regions could make it harder for Obi to maintain the gains he made in the previous presidential contest.

According to Naja’atu: “Peter Obi is going to lose many of the areas he won in the previous election, including Lagos. There are numerous locations where he cannot succeed because, for instance, in the south-south, Wike is there to limit his success, and in the southeast, there are powerful APC governors who will restrain his votes.”
