Former APC Official Killed By Bandits After Two Months In Captivity
A former All Progressives Congress (APC) Local Government Executive Committee member in Kaduna State, Ayuba Muhammad, has reportedly been killed by bandits after spending more than two months in captivity.
The development was disclosed on Friday in a post on 𝕏 by security analyst, Bakatsine.
According to him, reports of Muhammad’s death emerged on Thursday, months after he was abducted. Bakatsine said the late politician was also a member of the Zailaniyya Ambassador group.
He added that Muhammad was widely known and respected for his contributions to community development.
“Yesterday, reports emerged that Ayuba Muhammad, a former APC LGA EXCO in Kaduna State, was killed by bandits after spending more than two months in captivity following his abduction.
“Ayuba Muhammad was also a member of Zailaniyya Ambassador and was remembered by many for his contributions to community development,” Bakatsine wrote.
The security analyst expressed condolences to the deceased’s family, friends and others mourning his death.
“Condolences to his family, friends and all those grieving this loss,” he wrote.
Lamenting the worsening insecurity, Bakatsine added, “How many more fathers, sons, brothers and friends must be buried before this bloodshed finally ends?”
This comes after suspected kidnappers reportedly killed a former Secretary to the Benue State Government (SSG), Prof. David Salifu.
Naija News learnt that Salifu died after sustaining gunshot injuries during an attack by the kidnappers in Wukari, Taraba State.
According to Daily Post, the incident occurred on Thursday while Salifu was travelling to Makurdi.
The former SSD reportedly escaped with gunshot wounds and was rushed to a hospital in Makurdi for treatment, but was later confirmed dead on Thursday night.
