ADC Submits Atiku, Amaechi’s Name, Particulars To INEC Portal
The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has successfully uploaded the names and particulars of its presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, and his running mate, Rotimi Amaechi, to the Independent National Electoral Commission’s nomination portal ahead of the 2027 general election.
Naija News reports that the upload is one of the statutory requirements in the build-up to the presidential election, enabling political parties to formally submit their candidates’ particulars to the electoral commission within the stipulated timetable.
The ADC National Publicity Secretary, Bolaji Abdullahi, in a post shared on his verified 𝕏 handle, said the party has taken another important step in its preparation for the 2027 election following the submission of Atiku and Amaechi’s names.
He wrote, “We are pleased to announce that we have successfully uploaded the names and particulars of the African Democratic Congress presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar (GCON), and our Vice Presidential Candidate, Rotimi Amaechi (CON), to the nomination portal of the @INECNigeria.
“This marks another important step in our preparations for the 2027 general election and our commitment to offer Nigerians a credible alternative built on competence, unity, and national renewal.”
In other news, Amaechi has claimed that Nigerian politicians steal result sheets at the risk of the lives of ad-hoc staff of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
Amaechi made this known while addressing a group of youths in a video that is making the rounds online, advising them on how to secure their votes.
The former Governor of Rivers State also claimed that politicians do not care about citizens and warned parents against allowing their children to serve as ad hoc staff.
Amaechi also urged Nigerians to always insist that their votes be counted at the polling units during elections and uploaded on INEC portal.
