You’ll Pay ₦100,000 Before You See Me – Carter Efe Replies Babcock Over Forged Certificate Lawsuit
Skit maker Carter Efe has reacted to the ongoing controversy over his alleged Babcock University academic certificate.
Naija News reports that the comedian spoke on Monday night while streaming with other content creators, where they were seen selling akara on the street.
During the session, he briefly addressed reports that the university was linked to questions about his academic record.
He said during the livestream that people from Babcock looking for him would not easily reach him, adding in a playful tone that anyone trying to see him would need to pay a high entry fee before getting access.
The streamer also mentioned that he would be visiting the school soon.
Carter Efe said, “Babcock, I hear say Babcock una dey look for me. Una no go see me. Before una go see me, una go pay N100,000 for ticket, and we are coming to Babcock soon.”
The issue started after he shared an academic document online, which he claimed was his degree certificate from Babcock University.
In the post, he said he studied Biochemistry and graduated with top results, using the document to respond to those who doubted his education background.
The document later caused debate online after users questioned parts of it, especially the grading description written on it.
The school later reacted, saying it does not recognize the classification mentioned and warned that fake certificates linked to the institution should not be accepted.
