What My Children Told Me After I Asked Who Cares More Between Me And Their Mother – Obi

Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) presidential candidate, Peter Obi, has called for greater participation of women in politics, saying they play a stronger role in building society and should be given more opportunities to serve in leadership.

Speaking in an interview with Advocacy For Good Governance, Obi said women are often more compassionate, plan better for the future and are less likely to engage in corrupt practices than men.

Naija News reports that the former Anambra State governor said his time in office was greatly shaped by the women who served in his cabinet.

According to him, many of the achievements recorded during his administration were made possible because of the support and contributions of female members of his government.

Obi also spoke about his family while explaining why he believes women are naturally more caring. He said he sometimes asks his children to compare him with their mother by choosing who cares more for them.

He added that they always make it clear that their mother is the more caring parent.

He said: “All men can testify that their mothers were more caring than their fathers. My children say that to me every day. I argue and ask them, ‘Between me and their mother, who is more caring?’ They will look at me and say, ‘Dad, you know.'”
