God Told Me Abducted Oyo Pupils Will Be Released In A Dramatic Way – Adeboye

The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has shared what he said he received from God concerning the pupils and teachers abducted in Oyo State.

Naija News reports that gunmen had stormed three schools in Oriire Local Government Area of Oyo State, including Community High School, Ahoro-Esiele, Primary School, Esiele, and Yawota Baptist Nursery and Primary School, and took away about 32 people during the attack that happened on 15 May.

One of the victims, a mathematics teacher identified as Michael Oyedokun, was later killed while still in captivity, according to earlier reports.

Speaking in a video from a faith award event held in Washington, D.C., Adeboye said he turned to prayer immediately after hearing about the abduction.

He explained that the situation pushed him into deep prayer for the kidnapped pupils and teachers, especially after reports that the kidnappers killed one of the teachers and shared footage of it.

He also said that some people questioned the value of prayer in the face of the crisis, asking where God was during such incidents.

According to him, this pushed him to seek further answers from God during a period of intense prayer.

Adeboye added that he received a message that the release of the abducted school children would come in a striking way, although no timing or details were given to him.

He said: “I was compelled to cry unto God because we have been fasting and praying for a particular group of school children who were captured. The kidnappers felt that the government was not reacting fast enough to give them the money they asked for. They slaughtered their teacher and showed the video to the rest of the world. Some people then began to speak, challenging those of us who said we had been praying.

“You are fasting, you are praying, where is your God? So I went to the Lord in prayer, in deep agony. Father, you have heard them. Where is our God? And then God spoke to me. He told me that the release of the children is going to be dramatic. He did not tell me the time or the details. He then told me to leave that aspect in his hands.

“He said he would talk to me about what would happen after this particular incident. Some of the things he said, he mentioned what would happen to those who have been sponsoring terrorism and kidnapping in Nigeria. He also spoke about several other things. I had no idea what was going to happen here.”
