I Told The Government To Act Quickly – Adeboye Reveals How Trump Planned To Bomb Nigeria
The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has described United States President, Donald Trump, as a politician who keeps his promises, saying he admires that quality in the American leader.
Naija News reports that Adeboye made the remarks while speaking at the US-Nigeria Faith Heroes Award Gala organised by the Save Nigeria Group in Washington on June 23.
According to the cleric, he thanked God for Trump and recalled that around November last year, there were concerns that the US president could order military action against Nigeria.
He said he felt it was necessary to speak publicly at the time because innocent people would suffer if such an attack happened, regardless of how carefully it was carried out.
Adeboye said he called on the Nigerian government to act quickly to prevent such a situation.
He said, “Thank God for Trump. Last year, around November, he sent a message that he was coming to bomb Nigeria. And I felt that, again, if I did not say something, things might not go the way they should go. You see, there is something wonderful about bombing. The only problem with it is that no matter how accurate your bomb may be, some innocent people will suffer.
“And I think he meant to bomb us several times. So again, I had to speak in November, on the first Friday of November last year. I announced publicly that the government must do something quickly. I said to them: ‘I have never met Trump, but I have followed him, and I like him.’ That does not mean I agree with all his ways.
“What I like about him is this: one, he tells the truth. He is the best politician I have ever met. I like him. He is doing what he promised you he would do. To be a good politician, you must be able to say two things from the same mouth. That is what makes you a professional politician. And I like him (Trump) because, when he says: ‘I want to do this,’ you had better get ready. Many times, he would even have done what he was going to do before telling you.”
