AC Milan Complete Record-breaking Gonçalo Ramos Signing From PSG
AC Milan have completed the signing of Portuguese striker Gonçalo Ramos from Paris Saint-Germain on a five-year contract, making him the club’s first arrival under new head coach Paulo Fonseca.
Gonçalo Ramos, 25, has signed a deal that will keep him at San Siro until 30 June 2031 after Milan agreed a transfer worth more than €80 million.
Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano reported that the deal is valued at an initial €74 million, with add-ons taking the total fee beyond €80 million. The move surpasses Milan’s previous record signing, Rafael Leão, who joined the club for €49.5 million.
In an official statement, Milan confirmed the transfer, saying: “AC Milan today announced the signing of Gonçalo Matias Ramos from Paris Saint-Germain FC.
“The Portuguese striker has signed a contract with the Club until 30 June 2031.”
Ramos began his career in the youth systems of Olhanense and Benfica before making his senior debut for Benfica in 2019. He went on to score 41 goals in more than 100 appearances and helped the Lisbon club win the 2022/23 Primeira Liga title.
He joined PSG in 2023 and enjoyed a trophy-laden spell in the French capital, winning three Ligue 1 titles, two Coupe de France crowns, three Trophée des Champions, two UEFA Champions League titles, the UEFA Super Cup and the FIFA Intercontinental Cup. He also scored 45 goals in 131 appearances for the Paris club.
On the international stage, Ramos made his Portugal debut in November 2022 and has since featured at two FIFA World Cups. He also played a role in Portugal’s UEFA Nations League triumph during the 2024/25 campaign.
