Why I Signed David Mark’s C-of-O For ADC Duty – Wike
The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has declared that President Bola Tinubu’s administration does not discriminate, regardless of political party.
Naija News reports that Wike spoke on Thursday during the commissioning of the interchange at the Arterial Road N16–Ring Road III Intersection, linking Jahi District to Gwarimpa District in the FCT.
Wike disclosed that he recently signed the Certificate of Occupancy (CofO) for the National Chairman of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), David Mark, to ensure the effectiveness of his job.
The former Governor of Rivers State also accused Mark of failing to ensure the commissioning of any project in the FCT during his eight years as Senate President.
He said, “Eight as Senate President, never a day did we commission any project in the FCT, Mr President came in 2023, one year in office, Mr President took nine years in office to commission projects, in two years, Mr President took 19 days to commission projects; in three years he took 31 days to commission projects.
“It’s very obvious, look at the ease of doing business combined from 2010 to 2015 and from 2015 to 2023 the entire C of O that was signed was not more than 4000 but today, three years of Mr President in office, we have signed no less than 25,000 CofOs. What does it show? Ease of doing business.
“People can use their titles to get money from the bank and do whatever business they want to do but they can’t see that.
“I also want to remind them, in fact this morning while I was leaving the office I signed the one of David Mark to make sure that he does his business as the Chairman of ADC.
“We don’t discriminate, it doesn’t matter whether you belong to where Mr President is or not, the truth is that Mr President is serving all Nigerians.”
