‘David Mark No Longer Using Helicopter To Travel To Makurdi’ – Wike

Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has declared that the factional National Chairman of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), David Mark, is enjoying the dividends of democracy from the administration of President Bola Tinubu.

Naija News reports that Wike spoke on Thursday during the commissioning of the interchange at the Arterial Road N16–Ring Road III Intersection, linking Jahi District to Gwarimpa District in the FCT.

The project was among those earmarked to celebrate Tinubu’s third-year anniversary.

Speaking at the event, Wike said David Mark, during his tenure as Senate President, was travelling from Abuja to Benue State by helicopter because of bad roads.

Wike said under Mark’s leadership, the roads from Abuja to his hometown of Otukpo were so deplorable, but he is no longer using a helicopter because the road has been fixed by Tinubu’s administration.

He said, “Let me say to the National Chairman of ADC, I don’t know which of the factions, but I know that David Mark is the Chairman of one of the factions.

“He was a two-time Senate President, that is about eight good years uninterrupted and the roads from Akwanga to Makurdi was awarded when he was the Senate President, the poor people could not afford to go home in Makurdi, why? There was no road.

“Mark who is not the Chairman of the ADC was flying with helicopter, how many poor people have helicopters? But today with this administration we can now drive freely to Makurdi.

“The Chairman of the faction of ADC, Mark can now see that he’s no longer using an helicopter to travel to Makurdi, he’s now driving by road done by this administration within just three years but in eight years nobody could afford to go to Makurdi.

“From Makurdi to Otukpo, there was no road as a Senate President, what can you now say? I thank God that you have agreed that Mr President has done well in terms of roads for three years. Now watch what will happen in the next one years, then give him another four years.

“People should understand that when you have nothing to offer, tell them you have nothing to offer, even when your enemies have done well, cover your eyes and say this my enemy has done very well.”
