‘Fayose Made Seyi Makinde Governor’ – Isaac

Popular businessman, Isaac Fayose, has claimed that his elder brother and former Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose, helped Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, win the 2019 election.

Naija News reports that Isaac made the claim in a post on his Facebook page amid the ongoing political rift between Fayose and Makinde.

Isaac said he was involved in the political discussions that led to Makinde’s emergence as governor.

“Ayo Fayose made Seyi Makinde governor through me over seven years ago. I was a party to all that transpired between them.

“In this fight between my brother and Governor Makinde, I am going to support Ayo Fayose,” he claimed.

He added, “Makinde, do you remember the first cow we killed at my resort in Ring Road, Ibadan, while planning to make you a governor?

“Do you remember, Victor Enahoro, Anthony Enahoro’s son? We were all at the meeting that brought you as governor.”

Isaac urged Makinde to apologise to Fayose, saying the former governor felt neglected.

“I understand Fayose’s anger. Because he put you there and now you neglected him, he wants to take Ole Osa back,” he said.

Isaac’s claim comes days after Fayose vowed to teach Governor Makinde a political lesson.

Naija News reports that he stated this during an interview on Channels Television.

He warned that he is a politician who should not be taken for granted, adding that Makinde took his structure in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

He said, “We will teach Makinde a political lesson. If you respect me, you will get all my values and support, but if you disrespect me, you will get the downside of Fayose. I’m not a politician who is taken for granted.

“Makinde destroyed the South West Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, and took my structure. When we are in politics, we are meant to be fair.

“Declaring for the presidency was his undoing. He has the right to contest for president, but we don’t betray trust. Elections are not far away again. We will get there.”
