Angela Okorie Burns Outfit Worn To Alexx Ekubo’s Burial (Video)

Nollywood actress, Angela Okorie, has revealed why she burnt the outfit she wore to the burial of late actor, Alexx Ekubo.

Naija News recalls that Ekubo was laid to rest last week in his hometown, Aziukwubwo Ujori village, Arochukwu, Abia State, after reportedly dying on May 11 following a battle with stage four kidney cancer.

In a post shared on her Instagram story, Okorie said her godmother advised her not to keep clothes worn to a burial.

She wrote, “This is the outfit I wore to Alex’s burial. My Godmother said it is not good to keep the clothes you wore to a burial around you; you should burn them.

“So family and friends, take note. I felt I should share this information. May the Lord keep and bless us with long life. Amen. Chaiii.”

The actress also shared a video showing the outfit being set on fire.

Actress’ Legal Troubles

In January, Okorie was remanded at the Suleja Correctional Centre following her arraignment over alleged cyber-related offences.

Although details of the allegations were not officially disclosed, industry sources linked the matter to her feud with colleague Mercy Johnson.

The disagreement escalated last year after Okorie claimed Johnson was battling “an ailment I do not wish on my enemies.”
