You Can’t Criticize Government And Hide Your Own Plans – Dayo Amusa Fires At Peter Obi

Nollywood actress Dayo Amusa has criticized presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), Peter Obi, over his response to questions about how he intends to tackle Nigeria’s electricity and security challenges if elected president.

Naija News reports that the actress shared her views on social media after watching Obi’s recent interview with broadcaster Rufai Oseni, where the former Anambra governor declined to disclose specific details of his plans when asked how he would achieve his promises.

Reacting to the interview, Amusa argued that anyone seeking to lead the country should be able to explain both their plans and how they intend to carry them out.

She maintained that it is not enough to point out the shortcomings of government policies without presenting clear alternatives to Nigerians.

According to her, presidential candidates owe voters detailed explanations of what they would do differently if given the opportunity to govern.

She questioned Obi’s decision to withhold details of his strategy, saying Nigerians deserve to know the plans of anyone asking for their votes.

She wrote on 𝕏: “A leader should be an able to answer how and what they can do differently.. No sir, you can’t criticize all government policies and not give solutions to them..It’s very obvious you don’t want people to vote you that is why you want to keep your plans to your chest, it’s not a secret affair, we want to know what you’re going to do differently.. I watched the podcast with Rufai, it wasn’t inspiring!”
