‘No Responsibility’ – Tinubu’s Aide Blasts Peter Obi Over Decision To ‘Run From Burning House’

The Senior Advisor on Digital/New Media to President Bola Tinubu, O’tega Ogra, has criticised the presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), Peter Obi, over his response regarding his consistent political switches.

Naija News reports that Peter Obi, in a recent podcast with Nigerian journalist, Rufai Oseni, said, “If someone puts fire in my house, I will run and leave it.”

Reacting to the statement, Otega, in a post via his 𝕏 handle, said Peter Obi lacks responsibility and the capacity to confront or fix problems.

According to Tinubu’s aide, leadership is not about running away from challenges but about confronting and solving them and bearing the consequences of one’s decisions.

He wrote, “That tells you everything.

“No responsibility.
“No capacity to confront or fix the problem.
“No accountability to the people affected.
“No accountability for protecting what has been entrusted to you.

“Leadership is not about running away from challenges. It is about confronting them, solving them, and carrying the consequences of your decisions.

“In simple English, it is not about running from a burning house. It is about putting out the fire, protecting the people inside, rebuilding what is damaged, and ensuring it never happens again.

“Anyone can walk away. Leaders stay and solve problems.”
