England Have Every Right To Dream Of World Cup Glory – Tuchel

England manager Thomas Tuchel has said the Three Lions are entitled to dream of winning the 2026 FIFA World Cup, but warned that ambition alone will not be enough without the hard work required to earn success.

The German coach spoke about England’s World Cup hopes as preparations continue for their opening game against Croatia at 9 p.m. later tonight, June 17.

He insisted that his side will aim for the biggest prize in football while remaining realistic about the challenge ahead.

“We dream. We dream. I think we have a right to dream, but we don’t want to be delusional,” Tuchel said.

“We know that it comes with responsibility and the responsibility is on the effort. We want to put the effort in and then deserve the outcome.”

Tuchel stressed that no national team can promise silverware at a major tournament and believes supporters understand that success cannot be guaranteed. Instead, he said England’s focus must be on commitment, performance and giving everything on the pitch.

“I think no one expects us to give a guarantee that we win it. No one expects that we promise to win it,” he said.

“But the way we play, the way we arrive and the way we try, I think and I hope that they can feel it and they can be proud of us.”

The former Chelsea and Bayern Munich boss added that creating memorable moments for England fans remains one of the team’s main objectives as they prepare for football’s biggest stage.

“To bring that joy, that’s the target and that’s the overarching purpose,” he said.
