Ex-IGP Adamu To Reveal Next Political Move After Dumping APC
Former Inspector-General of Police Mohammed Abubakar Adamu is expected to announce his next political direction in the coming days after leaving the All Progressives Congress (APC) following his loss in the party’s governorship primary in Nasarawa State.
Naija News reports that his campaign director, Nathaniel Isa, said preparations are in progress for a formal announcement, but they explained that only the former police chief will speak first on his decision.
Isa added that the news of his next move will be made public very soon and supporters will be fully informed when it happens.
Adamu left the APC after he lost the ticket to Senator Aliyu Wadada, who was backed by the state governor during the primary election.
The outcome led to changes within his support base, with several of his followers moving to the Social Democratic Party.
Members of his campaign team, along with his wife and other close associates, have continued political activities across the state.
They insisted that his governorship ambition is still active despite the setback at the primary.
The campaign team also acknowledged that some of his supporters are leaving for other parties, saying individuals are free to make their own political choices.
They maintained that Adamu will address his supporters directly in due time to clarify his plans.
