I’m Supporting Tinubu Because He Has Roots In Osun – Adeleke
Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has expressed support for President Bola Tinubu, saying the President should be allowed more time to continue his ongoing reforms and complete his plans for the country.
Naija News reports that Adeleke, in an interview with Western Spring TV, explained that his position is based on regional balance in politics and the idea that power should rotate between the North and the South.
The governor said there is an informal political understanding that each region should have a fair turn in leading the country.
He also said that the current four-year period may not be enough for Bola Tinubu to fully achieve the goals of his administration.
According to him, the reforms need more time to properly take shape and produce results.
The governor also spoke about federal allocations to states, noting that the President has been releasing funds to state governments.
Adeleke said it is now the responsibility of each state to manage and use the money well, especially under current economic pressure.
He said: “I am supporting Tinubu because he has roots in Osun State, and because it is the turn of the South. Nigerians should please give him time to implement his reforms. He has also made efforts in releasing funds to state governors to support development across the federation.”
