Stop Blaming My Personal Assistant For My Stolen Phone At Alex Ekubo’s Service Of Songs – Bambam
Reality TV star Olawunmi Adenibuyan popularly known as Bambam has reacted to the phone theft incident that occurred during the service of songs held in honour of late actor Alexx Ekubo in Lagos.
Naija News reports that the actress addressed a video that circulated online showing a woman allegedly taking a phone from her bag.
She explained that the woman seen in the footage was her personal assistant and not the person responsible for the disappearance of her phone.
According to Bambam, she only discovered that her phone was missing after leaving the event and entering her car.
The mother of two said many people approached her during the gathering to exchange greetings and take photographs, making it difficult for her to know exactly when the device disappeared.
The former Big Brother Naija housemate revealed that her first concern was the information stored on the phone.
She said: “I got into my car and noticed my phone wasn’t with me. The video circulating around of a lady removing a phone from my bag. That was my personal assistant. Probably while we were hugging and exchanging pleasantries or at any point cause some people came and wanted to take selfie, it was really odd that people wanted to take selfies during the event.
“First thing that hit me was compassion. I was really sad that my contacts, my videos..a lot of my photos and videos weren’t backed up on the cloud. The next thing I felt was compassion. What would make any human being consider a service of songs a place to rob? And it wasn’t just my phone that was stolen. My friends, and I think even one of Alex’s brother’s phone too and then another guy. It was sad…..
“What would make any human being come to such a place and steal people’s phones? It wasn’t only mine; my friend and another man also lost theirs. You people should stop dragging my PA, she didn’t steal it from me.”
