‘Let’s Settle This With Ballot Papers, Not Guns’ – Davido Reacts To Attack On Accord Party Chairman

Popular Nigerian singer, David Adeleke, better known as Davido, has condemned the recent attack on the Chairman of the Accord Party (AP) in Osogbo Local Government Area of Osun State, Asimiyu Ajibola.

Davido, in a post on his 𝕏 Account on Thursday, also condemned the general waves of insecurity across Nigeria.

He emphasized that regardless of political differences, Nigerians must avoid contributing to the insecurity in the country.

The singer, who specifically called out the All Progressives Congress (APC) in his reaction, said differences should be settled with ballot papers and not guns or weapons.

“Regardless of our political differences, everyone must make sure they are not contributing to insecurity in our nation. The attack on the Chairman of Accord Party in Osogbo Local Government by political hoodlums must be condemned and rejected by all. If APC is sure they are popular, let’s settle this with ballot papers, not guns or weapons,” he wrote.

As earlier reported by Naija News, the Chairman of the Accord Party (AP) in Osogbo Local Government Area of Osun State, Asimiyu Ajibola, popularly known as Baba Isila, is battling for his life after suspected gunmen attacked him and his associates in Osogbo.
