It Was Becoming Toxic – MC Fish Speaks On Failed Marriage With Anita Joseph

Nigerian hype man Fisayo Michael, popularly known as MC Fish, has spoken about the end of his marriage to actress Anita Joseph, saying people should not see marriage as something frightening.

Speaking during an interview with Chude Jideonwo, MC Fish described marriage as a learning process that people go through in life.

According to him, marriage can be compared to moving through different stages of education, where people gain experiences and lessons along the way.

Naija News reports that the entertainer revealed that his marriage to Anita Joseph eventually ended because both parties could no longer resolve their differences. He explained that the relationship had reached a point where it was no longer working as expected.

MC Fish said he decided to walk away before the situation became unhealthy and created more problems. He stated that leaving the marriage was the best decision for his peace of mind as well as that of everyone involved.

Reflecting on the failed union, he said he does not see the experience as something negative. Instead, he views it as part of life and believes people can learn from both successful and unsuccessful experiences.

The nightlife entertainer also made it clear that he still has respect for his former wife despite their separation. He said there is no bitterness on his part and that he continues to hold her in high regard.

Marriage is not something that should scare anybody. I feel like marriage is a school, just like moving from primary school to university.

“I failed in my first marriage, but I just see it as life. Whether it is a loss, gain, success or failure, I see it as life.

“The reason why it ended was irreconcilable differences. It was not just working, but rather it was becoming toxic and hearing funny news. I decided to walk away for my peace and everybody’s peace of mind.

“I still respect my ex-wife. People were coming for me, saying I wanted to share her spotlight. I did my duties as a husband. I have been working in the nightlife for 16 years, 5 nights every week. I don’t go out and not get paid,” he said.
