I Didn’t End Anita Joseph’s Marriage, I Met MC Fish Single – New Lover

Gbemisola, the new lover of Fisayo Olagunju, popularly known as MC Fish, has broken the silence after her relationship with the comedian stirred reactions online.

Naija News reports that she addressed the issue in a video posted on her Instagram page after news of his separation from Nollywood actress Anita Joseph gained attention.

In the video, she apologised to those who may have been offended by the situation but stated that she does not enjoy publicity.

She said she had seen the comments and increase in followers, but made it clear that the attention was not the kind she welcomes.

According to her, she chose to speak so that silence would not allow what she described as a wrong narrative to continue spreading.

She denied claims that she ended anyone’s marriage, insisting that she met MC Fish when he was single. She explained that their relationship started after both of them had experienced past relationships where they felt unappreciated. She said they met at a time when they both needed support and decided to build something meaningful together.

The woman also dismissed negative labels circulating online, saying she does not understand where such descriptions are coming from. She described MC Fish as caring and intentional, adding that he protects her, provides for her and ensures she is comfortable. According to her, those qualities are the reason she is dating him.

She said, “And I am sure that everybody by now must have seen that somebody is trending on the internet. Yes, it is me. I’m sorry, guys, internet, my aunties, my uncles, I’m really, really sorry. But let me clear the air because I do not like publicity. I am not a fan of it.

“I’ve seen the followers, I’ve seen the comments. That’s not the kind of publicity I like. I’m not going to encourage you with silence or allow the wrong narrative to fly.

“First of all, I didn’t end anybody’s marriage. I can’t do that. God forbid. I met him single, and we started our relationship based on the fact that we had both dated people in the past who did not appreciate us.

“Finding each other was so beautiful because we needed to find ourselves at that particular point in time. We needed to meet each other, and we made the best out of the relationship.

“I don’t know where you guys are seeing whatever you’re calling me. I don’t even get it. But my baby takes care of me, he protects me, he provides for me, and he ensures that I am okay. He’s an intentional man, and that is the reason why I am dating him.”
