2Baba’s Wife Natasha Osawaru Wins Edo NDC House Of Assembly Ticket
Natasha Osawaru, the wife of Afrobeats legend Innocent Idibia, has secured the ticket of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) to contest for the Egor Constituency seat in the next election.
Naija News reports that the lawmaker announced her emergence as the party’s candidate after winning the NDC primary election.
She shared a campaign flyer and thanked party members, delegates and residents of the constituency for the support she received during the exercise.
According to her, the outcome of the primary election reflects the confidence reposed in her by party members and constituents.
Osawaru described the victory as a collective achievement involving delegates, party supporters and residents who believe in her vision for Egor Constituency.
The lawmaker also appreciated the party leadership, stakeholders and members of her campaign team for their efforts throughout the primary process.
She stated that obtaining the party’s ticket was an important step but noted that attention must now shift to preparations for the general election.
Her victory comes after she defected from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and joined the NDC.
She was formally welcomed into the party at its headquarters in Abuja alongside former Gombe State Deputy Governor John Yoriyo and other political figures. The reception was led by the party’s national leader, Seriake Dickson.
