Military Airstrikes Kill 36 ISWAP Fighters In Borno

The Air Component of Operation Hadin Kai (OPHK) has killed 13 ISWAP/JAS fighters during a precision airstrike on a terrorist camp at Arina Tai 3 in the Southern Tumbuns area of Borno State.

Naija News understands that the operation was carried out on May 30, 2026, as part of sustained air interdiction missions supporting ground operations in the Lake Chad axis.

Security sources told Zagazola Makama that the mission followed intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance operations aimed at denying terrorists freedom of movement.

According to the sources, battle damage assessment confirmed the neutralisation of 13 fighters in the strike.

The latest operation followed similar airstrikes on suspected terrorist locations in Wulgo and Bama.

On May 28, Nigerian Air Force platforms struck a suspected terrorist concentration in Wulgo, Ngala Local Government Area, killing 16 insurgents.

Earlier on May 26, air platforms also targeted a terrorist enclave at Biramiri in the Gezuwa area of Bama Local Government Area, killing seven fighters.

Sources said the missions were carried out based on actionable intelligence and confirmed hostile presence.

They added that the strikes significantly degraded terrorist manpower and disrupted logistics and movement within the affected enclaves.
