NAF Destroys Terrorist Hideouts In Borno Airstrikes

The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has said its counter-terrorism operations in Borno State destroyed terrorist hideouts and logistics structures at Biramiri in the Gezuwa general area of the state.

Naija News reports that the Director of Public Relations and Information, Headquarters Nigerian Air Force, Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame, disclosed this in a statement on Tuesday.

Ejodame said the operation was carried out after credible Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance reports identified terrorist locations in the area.

According to the NAF spokesman, coordinated precision strikes were launched against the targets, leading to the destruction of key terrorist facilities.

“The coordinated attacks destroyed key terrorist facilities and neutralised several fighters, further crippling the operational capacity of the insurgents,” he stated.

Ejodame said sustained air offensives had continued to create fear and confusion among terrorist elements across the Sambisa axis.

He added that intelligence assessments showed growing apprehension and disorientation among the insurgents as continuous bombardments denied them freedom of movement and safe havens.

The Air Force said it would continue working with troops of Operation Hadin Kai and other security agencies to keep pressure on terrorist networks in the North-East.

“The NAF, in concert with troops of Operation Hadin Kai and other security agencies, remains resolute in maintaining relentless pressure on terrorist networks while reinforcing its commitment to protecting innocent lives and restoring lasting peace and security across the North-East,” the statement added.
