Take Your Proof To The Appeal Committee – Ologbodiyan Advises Aggrieved ADC Members Over Alleged Result Manipulation
A chieftain of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Kola Ologbondiyan, has advised aggrieved members with proof of result manipulation to approach the party’s appeal committee.
He stated this on Wednesday during an interview on Arise Television.
He said that the leaders of the party would manage all issues, adding that the party has machinery through which it can resolve internal matters.
“Allegations cannot just come without proof. The party has already constituted an appeal committee.
“Those who can prove the allegations of manipulation can go to the appeal committee,” he said.
Meanwhile, former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has asked former Minister of Transportation Rotimi Amaechi and banker Mohammed Hayatu-Deen to work with him as he prepares for the 2027 general elections.
Naija News reports that he made the appeal after being announced as the winner of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) presidential primary.
The event followed complaints from Amaechi and Hayatu-Deen, who had earlier rejected the outcome, saying the process was not fair and was affected by voting issues.
Atiku said there are no winners or losers in the contest and called for unity among all party members. He urged everyone who took part in the primaries to come together and focus on building a stronger front ahead of the elections.
He also specifically reached out to Amaechi and Hayatu-Deen, asking them to join him in the push to reshape the country and strengthen the party.
According to him: “We have a sacred responsibility to build a party that will stand as a great institution not only in Nigeria but as a great example across the world. I therefore appeal to all those who feel aggrieved to come back to our party and close ranks with the rest of us.
“I appeal to all those who contested for various positions in our primaries to close ranks with us. In particular, I invite Chief Rotimi Amaechi and Alhaji Mohamed Hayatu-Deen to join me in this fight to save our democracy and our country. As I said previously, there are no winners and no losers.
“Our people look up to us for leadership. I am ready to lead. I shall work with you all to continue to build our party. I will campaign with you and if Nigerians give us the mandate, govern with you to build a country that works for all of us.”
