‘Some Govs Keep Quiet’ – Abdullahi Sule Reveals Talks With Tinubu

The Governor of Nasarawa State, Abdullahi Sule, has stated that governors have always been truthful with President Bola Tinubu concerning the realities in the nation.

Speaking during an appearance on Channels Television, he stated that while some governors do not speak, others are bold enough to tell Tinubu the truth.

The governor also disclosed that Tinubu tells them the truth, adding that he raised the issue of insecurity during their last meeting.

He said, “We have been very honest with him (the President) and you can bear me witness.

“At one point, when the issue of the tax reforms came in, we met with the President and told him what was on our mind, what we believed, and what we didn’t believe.

“If you are not telling the president the truth, how can you even be saying you are fighting the president?

“What we are saying is that these are the issues; we have to tell each other the truth. I can’t tell you that every one of us is like that. There are some of the governors who may not say anything at all.

“The most important thing is that the president himself tells the truth to us. Yesterday we went to eat lunch with us, he was the one who brought out the aspect of insecurity. He said we still have issues with insecurity, what is happening to state police?”
