Abike Dabiri-Erewa Saddened Over Tragic Death Of Nigerian Family In Texas

The Chairman of Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM), Hon. Abike Dabiri-Erewa, has expressed deep sadness over the death of Nihinloluwa Agoro and her children, Temiloluwa and Isaac, in a road accident in Fort Bend County, Texas, in the US.

Naija News learnt that the tragic incident happened on Sunday, March 15, 2026, while the family were on their way to church.

Dabiri-Erewa, in a statement through the Commission’s Head of Media, Public Relations and Protocols Unit, Abdur-Rahman Balogun, said that such a sudden loss is heartbreaking for any family, especially during what should have been an ordinary journey.

While sympathising with the Agoro family, Dabiri-Erewa prayed for the repose of the deceased and comfort for those left behind.

‎The NiDCOM Boss also wished a speedy recovery to anyone injured in the accident and equally called for caution on the roads to prevent such tragedies.

Dabiri-Erewa added that she stands with the Nigerian community in Texas and the US in general, who are affected by this loss.

Meanwhile, Dabiri-Erewa recently condemned the murder of a 20-year-old Nigerian student, Khaleed Oladipo, in Leicester, UK.

The deceased, who was a second-year Cybersecurity student at De Montfort University, was fatally stabbed while on his way home to watch a football match.

His family has described him as an extremely loved son and family member whose life was cut short far too soon.

Expressing deep sorrow over the tragic incident, Dabiri-Erewa, in a statement by NiDCOM’s Public Relations Officer, Abdur-Rahman Balogun, described the incident as heartbreaking and a painful loss to both the Oladipo family and the Nigerian community at home and in the diaspora.‎

‎She also called on UK authorities to ensure a thorough investigation and justice for the deceased, while reiterating NiDCOM’s commitment to the welfare and protection of Nigerians in the diaspora community.
