‘Rufai Is Very Rude, Should Be Sacked’ – Joe Igbokwe Fumes Over Clash With Israeli Ambassador

A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Joe Igbokwe, has described the clash between ARISE Television’s anchor, Rufai Oseni, and Israeli Ambassador to Nigeria, Michael Freeman, as unacceptable and totally unprofessional.

Naija News reports that in a video making rounds online, Rufai, during a heated conversation on the Arise TV Morning show, was seen shutting up the Israeli ambassador, who was attempting to counter his claim.

During the interview with Freeman, Rufai said Israel cannot be innocent in the Middle East crisis, recalling what he termed as atrocities committed by Israel in some countries, including Gaza.

However, the ambassador attempted to counter the claim but was shut down by Rufai.

Rufai said, “Hang on a minute, let me finish. Do not interrupt me, ambassador. Let me finish.”

The development has generated mixed reactions across social media platforms, with some netizens criticising the journalist for his style of interaction with guests on the live Television show.

Reacting to the development, Igbokwe, in a post via his Facebook page, said Rufai is very rude and unbelievably arrogant.

The APC chieftain claims he has asked Arise Television’s management to sack Rufai, stressing that he is not a trained journalist.

He wrote, “Rufai is very rude and unbelievably arrogant. I have asked ARISE TV to remove him.

“He is not a trained journalist. His temperament is very bad, unacceptable and totally unprofessional”.
