‘ADC Is Not Worried Despite APC’s Attempt To Ensure Tinubu Becomes Only Candidate On Ballot’ – Dele Momodu

A chieftain of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Dele Momodu, has claimed that the All Progressives Congress (APC) is trying to make President Bola Tinubu the only person on the ballot in the 2027 general elections.

Naija News reports that Momodu made the remark on Thursday during an interview on Arise Television.

The former presidential aspirant said the ADC members are not worried or panicking about the APC having 31 governors in their party, or about attempts to manoeuvre the situation to their favour.

Dele Momodu also took a swipe at the conduct of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Area Council elections, questioning the declaration of a curfew in a single election in a small city like the nation’s capital.

He said, “The APC is trying to make sure that President Tinubu is the only candidate on the ballot.

“They are trying to manoeuvre, but Nigerians are wiser than them. We are not worried or panicking in the ADC.

“Just one election in a small city like FCT, they had to declare a curfew, and the minister of the FCT became the IGP, personally supervising polling stations across the city.”

Meanwhile, Momodu has said it would be unnecessary for the opposition to play rough games with the ruling party.

Momodu made this known during an interview on Channels Television’s ‘Sunrise Daily’, programme on Wednesday, noting that many members of the ADC are veterans.

Momodu said that many of his friends in the APC are in pain, stressing that ADC is not Nigeria’s problem but the ruling party.

According to the publisher of Ovation Magazine, regardless of what is happening in the country, he is happy that the opposition is standing firm.
