‘I Was Dragged Into Violence’ – Rosy Meurer Clarifies Inconsistency About Tonto Dikeh’s Failed Marriage

Nollywood actress, Rosy Meurer, has slammed critics over claims of inconsistency regarding the failed marriage of her colleague, Tonto Dikeh, and her marriage to Olakunle Churchill.

Naija News recalls that Tonto and Churchill divorced in 2017 over the latter’s alleged extramarital affair with Rosy, who was said to be a personal assistant and friend to Tonto Dikeh.

Rosy Meurer, in a video shared online at the time, said she was the couple’s family friend. “He (Churchill) and his wife remain family to me. We once hang out together before.”

However, addressing the controversy over her marriage to Churchill on Wednesday, Meurer, in a new Instagram video, denied ever having any relationship with Tonto Dikeh.

Following her new claim, Meurer faced backlash from netizens for being inconsistent in her claims regarding her relationship with Olakunle Churchill and Tonto Dikeh.

Speaking amid the backlash, Meurer, in a lengthy Instagram post, attributed the previous video, in which she described Churchill and Tonto as “family friends”, to pressure from her management.

The movie star claimed she was forced to lie, saying, “You want me to hang on to the nonsense old video I made in fear due to the fact that I was so young and innocent.

“I was dragged into violence by force. With all the pressure then, PR team will make you say many things even if you don’t feel it is right. Right now whatever I say is THE REAL TRUTH. I am now older and wiser. No PR team can force me to say what they believed is better than my truth. If you like, bring videos of 1000 years ago. It does not change my reality.”
